¡Hasta la vista Madrid!

Heath, Enrique, Nuria, Graham, Qinwen, Tomasz, Celia, Anders, Marie, Elvia, Qiankun, Vanessa, Victor, Jesus, Alberto, Etienne, Olga, Olga, Alvaro, Giuseppe, Jessica, Fran, Jaime and many others,

thank you all for this unforgettable experience. My internship period at Telefonica Research ended, the curtain has to slowly fall.

I arrived in Madrid three months ago. It was raining, the sky was dull and nothing seemed to indicate that I was in a mediterranean metropolis. Difficult first days – trying to find a flat and getting to know the whereabouts while complaining about the weather. Three months later I know this city. And guess what – I know that I absolutely love this city. I learned a lot here and I visited many magnificent places. I liked the spanish food, enjoyed the spanish night life (with countless cheap cañas) and loved hanging out with you in Huertas, La Latina, Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor and so many other neighbourhoods. We even got on the news on the spanish tv, within a week after we arrived 🙂

Telefonica is a great place to work. The working environment is very homelike and I learned many useful things regarding the research and development process. There’s still a lot to do and even more to learn. Would love to come back some day.

It has been a wonderful period. The Greek guy says goodbye, meeting each one of you was unique and invaluable. I hope we meet again in another place of this world – Qinwen you promised me Singapore 😉

Living always becomes leaving. Time to leave now.
